About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at our Frankfort, IL branch, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and encouraged. This role empowers you to assist customers in achieving their financial goals by acting as a Financial Concierge for walk-in clients. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong consumer and business customer relationships by proactively identifying their financial needs and recommending suitable banking products and services, including deposits and loans. Your ability to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently will be crucial in providing exemplary customer service while also educating customers about our bank's offerings and technology. In this position, you will be expected to deliver excellent customer service and effectively resolve any issues that may arise. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products and lending options. A key aspect of your role will involve proactively identifying opportunities to enhance customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, which includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. You will also be responsible for educating customers about other areas of the bank to deepen their relationships and foster a strong partnership. Adherence to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures is essential in this role. You will be expected to demonstrate strong skills in sales, customer service, relationship management, and communication, as well as a solid understanding of banking, consumer lending, and business banking. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the branch's operations and customer service goals.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products and consumer lending.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales.
  • Cash handling skills.
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services.
