About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where you are empowered every day to help our customers achieve their financial goals. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with clients. You will act as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, responsible for retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships. Your primary focus will be on proactively identifying financial goals and needs, recommending appropriate deposit and banking products and services, and ensuring that customer transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. You will also balance daily transactions while providing exemplary customer service, which is at the core of our mission. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and voice opinions that directly impact our customers, our bank, and our communities for the better. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues, ensuring that every interaction is positive and productive. You will need to be proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products, as well as proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process. This includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. Additionally, you will educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong partnerships. Adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures is essential in this role. You will demonstrate acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication, and presentation skills. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the team and the bank's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
