About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker Non NMLS at Huntington, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and empowered. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping customers achieve their financial goals. You will act as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, focusing on retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively identify customers' financial goals and needs, recommending appropriate deposit and banking products and services to meet those needs. In this position, you will process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while balancing daily transactions. Providing exemplary customer service is paramount, and you will be expected to resolve customer issues effectively. You will also be responsible for educating customers on consumer deposit products and identifying opportunities to enhance customer relationships through a disciplined sales process. This includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. Additionally, you will educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong partnerships. Adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures is essential. You will demonstrate acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication, and presentation skills. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the branch's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
