About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington National Bank, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and can directly impact the financial well-being of our customers and the community. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and are eager to help customers achieve their financial goals. You will act as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, responsible for building and maintaining strong consumer and business customer relationships. Your primary focus will be on proactively identifying customers' financial needs and recommending suitable banking products and services to meet those needs. In this position, you will process customer transactions with accuracy and efficiency while ensuring that each interaction is characterized by exemplary customer service. You will have the opportunity to engage with customers, understand their financial objectives, and guide them through the various banking options available. Your role will also involve educating customers about consumer deposit products and referring them to other areas of the bank to enhance their banking experience. You will be expected to adhere to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures, ensuring that the bank's standards are met at all times. Additionally, you will demonstrate strong sales acumen, relationship management skills, and effective communication and presentation abilities. This position may also include other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the branch and the satisfaction of our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
