About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington Bank, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and encouraged. This role empowers you to assist customers in achieving their financial goals through personalized service and expert guidance. You will act as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships with both consumer and business clients. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively identify customers' financial needs and recommend suitable banking products and services, including deposits and loans. In this position, you will be expected to process customer transactions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that each interaction is a positive experience. You will also play a crucial role in educating customers about the bank's products, services, and technology, helping them to make informed decisions about their finances. Your ability to resolve customer issues effectively and provide exemplary service will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, you will engage in a disciplined sales process to identify opportunities for growth within customer relationships. This includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. You will also be responsible for adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures, ensuring that the bank operates within the required guidelines. Your skills in sales, customer service, relationship management, and communication will be essential as you work to deepen customer relationships and contribute to the overall success of the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products and consumer lending.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales.
  • Cash handling skills.
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services.
