About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington Bank, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and encouraged. This role empowers you to assist customers in achieving their financial goals through personalized service and proactive engagement. You will act as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships with both consumer and business clients. Your primary responsibility will be to identify customers' financial needs and goals, recommending suitable banking products and services to meet those needs. You will also be tasked with processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. In this position, you will provide exemplary customer service, effectively resolving any issues that may arise. You will need to be proficient in understanding and educating customers about various consumer deposit products. A key aspect of your role will involve proactively identifying opportunities to enhance customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, which includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. Additionally, you will educate customers about other areas of the bank, fostering deeper relationships and partnerships. Adherence to operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures is crucial in this role. You will demonstrate strong skills in sales, customer service, relationship management, and communication, ensuring that you represent the bank positively and effectively. Other duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the overall success of the branch and the bank as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
