About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington National Bank, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and can directly impact the financial goals of our customers. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and are eager to help clients navigate their financial journeys. You will act as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships with both consumer and business clients. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively identify customers' financial needs and goals, recommending suitable banking products and services to help them achieve these objectives. In this position, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring that you balance your daily transactions. You will also play a key role in resolving customer issues effectively, ensuring that every interaction leaves a positive impression. Your ability to educate customers on various consumer deposit products will be crucial in enhancing their banking experience and fostering long-term relationships. Additionally, you will engage in a disciplined sales process, which includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. You will also be expected to adhere to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures, demonstrating a strong understanding of the banking environment. Your skills in sales, customer service, relationship management, and communication will be essential in this role, as you will be tasked with not only meeting but exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
