About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker Non NMLS at Huntington National Bank, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our walk-in customers. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping others achieve their financial goals in a welcoming and inclusive team environment. You will act as a Financial Concierge, responsible for retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships. Your primary focus will be on proactively identifying customers' financial goals and needs, and recommending appropriate banking products and services to meet those needs. In this role, you will process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while balancing your daily activities. You will be expected to provide exemplary customer service, ensuring that each customer feels valued and understood. Your responsibilities will include educating customers on consumer deposit products, resolving customer issues effectively, and identifying opportunities to enhance customer relationships through a disciplined sales process. This may involve following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. You will also be responsible for adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures, ensuring that the bank operates within the required guidelines. Your ability to demonstrate acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, and effective communication will be essential to your success in this position. Other duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the overall success of the branch and the bank as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales.
  • Cash handling skills.
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services.
