About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington, you will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our customers. This part-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping others achieve their financial goals. You will serve as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships with both consumer and business clients. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively identify customers' financial needs and goals, recommending suitable banking products and services to meet those needs. This role requires a commitment to providing exemplary customer service while processing transactions accurately and efficiently. In this position, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve any issues that may arise. You will need to be proficient in understanding and educating customers about various consumer deposit products. A key aspect of your role will involve identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, which includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. You will also be responsible for educating customers about other areas of the bank, thereby deepening relationships and fostering strong partnerships. Adherence to operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures is crucial in this role. You will demonstrate your acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication, and presentation skills. Other duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the overall success of the branch and the satisfaction of our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
