About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and encouraged. This role empowers you to assist customers in achieving their financial goals while fostering a positive banking experience. You will serve as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, focusing on retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively identify customers' financial goals and needs, recommending suitable deposit and banking products and services. You will also be tasked with processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that daily balances are maintained while delivering exemplary customer service. In this position, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve any customer issues that may arise. A key aspect of your role will involve being proficient in understanding and educating customers about consumer deposit products. You will proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, which includes a new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners. Additionally, you will educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong partnerships. Adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures is crucial in this role. You will demonstrate acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication, and presentation. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the overall goals of the branch and the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales.
  • Cash handling skills.
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services.
