About the position

The Branch Resource Team member plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and proactive sales support within Huntington's branch network. This position involves engaging with customers to identify their financial goals and needs, recommending appropriate banking products, and processing transactions efficiently. The role requires traveling between assigned branches and adapting to changing work locations, emphasizing the importance of relationship management and technology education for customers.

Responsibilities

• Engage in proactive sales and customer service activities, including teller transactions.
• Retain and grow consumer and business customer relationships by identifying financial goals and needs.
• Serve in a concierge role by servicing walk-in customers.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while balancing daily.
• Effectively resolve customer issues and provide exemplary customer service.
• Educate customers on optimizing their use of bank technology (online, mobile, and ATM banking).
• Identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process.
• Conduct new customer follow-up programs and outbound calling.
• Source referrals from customers and partners to deepen relationships.
• Educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to build strong internal partnerships.
• Adhere to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in a relevant role, or a Bachelor's Degree.
• Proficient in consumer deposit products.
• Strong comfort level with technology.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year or more in customer service in banking or financial services.
• Cash handling skills.
• Comfort with mobile services and online banking services.
