About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at our Saint Clair Shores branch, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and encouraged. This role empowers you to assist our customers in achieving their financial goals, making you a vital part of their banking experience. You will serve as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, responsible for building and maintaining strong consumer and business customer relationships. Your primary focus will be on proactively identifying customers' financial needs and goals, recommending suitable deposit and banking products and services to meet those needs. You will also be tasked with processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring that you balance your daily transactions and provide exemplary customer service. In this position, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve any customer issues that may arise. You will need to be proficient in understanding and educating customers about our consumer deposit products. A key aspect of your role will involve proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, which includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. You will also educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen their relationships and build a strong partnership with our institution. Adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures is crucial in this role. You will demonstrate your acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication, and presentation skills. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the branch's operations and customer service goals.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.

  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
