About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington Bank, you will be part of a dynamic and inclusive team dedicated to helping customers achieve their financial goals. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships. You will serve as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, playing a crucial role in retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively identify customers' financial goals and needs, recommending appropriate banking products and services to meet those needs. In this position, you will process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while balancing daily operations. You will be expected to provide exemplary customer service, effectively resolving any customer issues that may arise. A key aspect of your role will involve educating customers about consumer deposit products and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance customer relationships through a disciplined sales process. This includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. You will also be responsible for adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures, ensuring that all interactions are compliant and secure. Your ability to demonstrate strong sales acumen, customer service skills, relationship management, and effective communication will be essential to your success in this role. Other duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the overall success of the branch and the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
