About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington Bank, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and can directly impact the financial goals of our customers. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and are eager to help clients navigate their financial journeys. You will act as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships with both consumer and business clients. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and understand the financial needs of customers, recommending suitable banking products and services to help them achieve their goals. In this position, you will process customer transactions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that all daily balances are maintained. You will also be expected to proactively engage with customers to identify opportunities for growth in their banking relationships. This includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing clients and partners. Your role will require you to educate customers on various consumer deposit products and refer them to other areas of the bank to deepen their relationships with us. Adherence to operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies is crucial in this role. You will demonstrate strong skills in sales, customer service, relationship management, and effective communication. The position may also involve other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the branch and enhancing the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
