About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where you are empowered every day to help our customers achieve their financial goals. This role serves as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, focusing on retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships. You will proactively identify financial goals and needs, recommending appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. Your responsibilities will include processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, providing exemplary customer service, and educating customers on bank products, services, and technology. In this position, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues. You will need to be proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products and consumer lending. Additionally, you will proactively identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up programs, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners. You will also educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong partnerships. Adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures is crucial. You will demonstrate acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, communication, and presentation. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
