About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker Non NMLS at Huntington, you will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our customers. This position empowers you to act as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, helping them achieve their financial goals through personalized service. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with both consumer and business customers by proactively identifying their financial needs and recommending suitable banking products and services. Your role will involve processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring that you balance your daily transactions and provide exemplary customer service. In this position, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve any customer issues that may arise. You will need to be proficient in understanding and educating customers about our consumer deposit products, ensuring they are well-informed about their options. A key aspect of your role will be to proactively identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, which includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. Additionally, you will be responsible for educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen their relationships and build strong partnerships. Adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures is crucial in this role. You will also be expected to demonstrate strong skills in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication, and presentation. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the branch's operations and customer service goals.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales.
  • Cash handling skills.
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services.
