About the position
The Customer Experience Host at the Lewis Main Store/Self Checkout is responsible for managing multiple self-checkout registers while ensuring an outstanding customer experience through proactive service and exceptional support. This role may also involve assisting with regular checkout stations as needed, contributing to a positive shopping environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple self-checkout registers to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Provide high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and engagement.
- Greet customers and assess their needs to provide personalized assistance.
- Operate cash registers and self-checkout systems for transactions, including sales and refunds.
- Promote corporate programs to enhance customer loyalty and drive sales growth.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and security regulations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot basic issues with checkout systems as needed.
- Assist customers with product selection and provide resolutions to complaints.
Requirements
- Completion of high school or equivalent education.
- Retail experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated willingness and potential for additional responsibility.
- Must be at least 21 years old to sell alcohol/tobacco.
- Ability to lift more than 40 lbs.
- Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and team player mentality.
