About the position

The Customer Experience Host at the Lewis Main Store/Self Checkout is responsible for managing multiple self-checkout registers while ensuring an outstanding customer experience through proactive service and exceptional support. This role may also involve assisting with regular checkout stations as needed, contributing to a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple self-checkout registers to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Provide high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and engagement.
  • Greet customers and assess their needs to provide personalized assistance.
  • Operate cash registers and self-checkout systems for transactions, including sales and refunds.
  • Promote corporate programs to enhance customer loyalty and drive sales growth.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and security regulations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot basic issues with checkout systems as needed.
  • Assist customers with product selection and provide resolutions to complaints.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school or equivalent education.
  • Retail experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated willingness and potential for additional responsibility.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to sell alcohol/tobacco.
  • Ability to lift more than 40 lbs.
  • Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and team player mentality.
