About the position

As a Customer Experience Host at the Exchange, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient checkout experience for our customers. Your enthusiasm for helping others will shine through as you engage with customers, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated. You will be responsible for managing multiple self-checkout registers, greeting every customer with eye contact and a smile, and acknowledging waiting customers promptly to let them know they will be assisted shortly. Your ability to complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in appropriate conversation will be key to your success in this role. In addition to providing excellent customer service, you will also be responsible for following proper procedures for bagging merchandise and assisting customers with large or heavy items. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing multiple self-checkout registers.
  • Greet every customer with eye contact and a smile.
  • Acknowledge every waiting customer as soon as they arrive to your lane.
  • Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in conversation.
  • Assist customers by following proper procedures for bagging merchandise and moving large or heavy items.

Requirements

  • Able to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Able to think quickly on the spot to answer customer questions.
  • Willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store as needed.
  • Must possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and team members.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Retail experience preferred.
