About the position

Ambra is seeking both full-time and part-time experienced hosts to join our opening team. As a host, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring that their dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. You will be responsible for managing reservations, overseeing the dining area, and assisting guests with their needs. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the Manager to ensure that all operations run efficiently and that guests are satisfied with their experience at Ambra.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in managing all reservations using the REsySystem.
• Oversee the dining area and ensure smooth guest flow in and out of the establishment.
• Provide assistance to guests, addressing their needs and inquiries.
• Communicate special requests and important notes (such as birthdays and allergies) to various departments within the restaurant.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role as a host or in customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage reservations and guest flow effectively.
• Familiarity with reservation systems, preferably REsySystem.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
