About the position

The Customer Experience Specialist position is an entry-level role within a leading national home loan lender, specifically located in Saint Louis, MO. This role is situated in a call center environment and is focused on supporting Consumer Direct Lending. As a Customer Experience Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for consumers, guiding them through the loan origination process following their initial discussions with a licensed loan officer. Your responsibilities will include managing high-volume inbound calls and texts from current customers, ensuring that their inquiries are addressed promptly and effectively. In this role, you will perform routine data entry and validation tasks, which are essential for maintaining accurate customer records and facilitating smooth loan processing. You will also handle various forms of communication, including calls, emails, and chat responses, interacting with Pennymac employees, consumers, and authorized third parties. Your ability to collaborate with multiple departments will be crucial in expediting processing and resolving any issues that may arise during the loan origination process. Responsibilities

  • Operate in a Call Center environment as a customer success advocate
  • Answer high-volume, inbound calls or texts from current customers in a timely manner
  • Perform routine data entry and validation tasks
  • Handle routine calls, emails and/or chat responses with Pennymac employees, consumers and/or authorized 3rd parties
  • Interact with multiple departments to expedite processing and/or issue resolution
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Requirements

  • Mortgage and/or financial services call center experience is a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • General understanding of applicable Federal, State and Local mortgage regulations a plus
  • Capable communicator, written and oral
  • Strong negotiation skills with ability to effectively resolve problems
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers and mainstream computer applications (Microsoft, Google, etc.)
