About the position

The Customer Experience Manager (CEM) at Five Below plays a crucial role in leading the store's front-end operations and ensuring exceptional customer service. Reporting to the Store Manager, the CEM is responsible for driving sales, managing cash operations, maintaining store cleanliness, and training staff to deliver a high-quality shopping experience. This position emphasizes leadership, accountability, and a commitment to the company's values, aiming to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for both customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Support Lead and Lead Cashier(s) while acting as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure all associates are providing excellent customer service and 'Wowing the Customer'.
• Achieve customer satisfaction (CSAT) score goals set by the District Manager.
• Train staff on customer service best practices.
• Maintain store cleanliness and readiness for customers at all times.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the store.
• Assist in supervising, training, coaching, and developing all associates.
• Drive store sales and manage expenses effectively.
• Utilize financial reporting to identify business opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and think creatively under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service for at least 2 years (preferred).
