About the position

The Customer Experience Manager at Five Below is responsible for leading the store's Freight team and all associates while acting as the Manager on Duty. This role focuses on executing merchandising standards, ensuring operational controls, maintaining inventory integrity, and driving sales while delivering exceptional customer service. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop team members to achieve store goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Freight team and all associates as the Manager on Duty.
  • Execute merchandising standards throughout the store.
  • Ensure operational controls and inventory integrity.
  • Drive sales and enhance customer experience.
  • Assist in training, coaching, and developing all associates.
  • Perform opening and closing store procedures.
  • Review corporate communications and respond accordingly.
  • Drive store sales and control expenses using financial reporting.
  • Maintain assigned zone and ensure compliance with company SOPs.
  • Handle cash management procedures and authorize register functions.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in merchandising and customer service for at least 2 years.
