About the position

The Customer Experience Marketing Manager - AI, Data, & Digital role at Boston Scientific is designed for a forward-thinking leader who will work collaboratively across various marketing business units, corporate functions, and regions to establish new capabilities that align with the company's overarching business goals. This position serves as a crucial link between advanced technologies and practical business applications, aiming to enhance Boston Scientific's customer relationships. Success in this role hinges on a strong business acumen, the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable strategic initiatives, and effective communication in both business and technical contexts. The individual will be instrumental in developing and executing innovative marketing solutions and programs that leverage Digital, Data, Artificial Intelligence, and other emerging technologies. This hybrid role requires the individual to work onsite three days a week, with the option to be based in either Marlborough, MA, or Arden Hills/Maple Grove, MN. The responsibilities encompass a wide range of strategic initiatives, including the development of a Strategic Transformation Roadmap, identifying and prioritizing use cases for AI technology, overseeing program management, and championing change management initiatives. The role demands a proactive approach to collaboration with cross-functional teams and a commitment to fostering a culture of innovation within the organization. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate the strategy and benefits of AI and emerging technologies to all levels of leadership and employees, ensuring smooth adoption and integration of these solutions into the business framework.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Strategic Transformation Roadmap by collaborating with functional and business leaders to identify challenges and opportunities for AI capabilities.
  • Synthesize trends and analytics to stay updated on marketing and technology trends and assess their application within Boston Scientific.
  • Conduct Digital and AI capability maturity assessments to align with the strategic roadmap.
  • Create a comprehensive strategy outlining vision, goals, KPIs, and roadmap for capability integration across the organization.
  • Ensure strategy compliance with regulatory and privacy standards, as well as customer preferences.
  • Identify and prioritize AI use cases that can deliver operational efficiencies and revenue growth.
  • Evaluate AI use cases based on feasibility and strategic alignment, and develop a phased implementation plan.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of prioritized marketing projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.
  • Facilitate collaboration between functions like Enterprise IT, Data, MarTech, and Development.
  • Define a performance culture, track progress, measure success, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Champion the value of AI and emerging technologies, fostering a culture of innovation and education.
  • Communicate strategy, value, and benefits of AI to all levels of leadership and employees.
  • Develop change management strategies to mitigate resistance and ensure smooth adoption of innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in business strategy, product management, or a relevant marketing field.
  • Proven track record of implementing strategic business initiatives in matrixed commercial teams.
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies, including machine learning, generative AI, data strategy, and predictive analytics.
  • Demonstrated success in driving internal adoption of new technology and innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, and translate complex technical concepts into business language.
