About the position

The Customer Experience Representative position at Banner Staffing Services involves coordinating patient flow in a medical clinic by managing check-ins, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth registration process. This temporary role is essential for maintaining efficient operations within the clinic and enhancing patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform registration and check-in processes, including data entry and obtaining necessary signatures.
• Assist front office staff with phone calls, messages, and prescription refills.
• Receive physician's orders and complete patient registration, including obtaining authorizations and referrals.
• Calculate and collect patient liability based on insurance verification.
• Enter payments and charges for services, performing daily reconciliation and preparing bank deposits.
• Confirm patient appointments and ensure proper preparation for visits.
• Provide information and customer service to patients and their families regarding clinic procedures.
• Perform general office duties such as distributing mail and ordering supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Knowledge of patient financial services and customer service skills acquired through one or more years of related work experience.
• Ability to build familiarity with medical terminology and common insurance types.
• Accurate and efficient keyboarding skills and proficiency with common office software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service orientation.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous medical, financial services, or customer service work experience preferred.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
