About the position

The Customer Experience Specialist in Firearms/Sporting Goods is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience in the firearms and sporting goods departments. This role involves maintaining product knowledge, organizing firearms, completing necessary documentation, and engaging with customers to meet their needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with eye contact and a smile.
• Acknowledge every waiting customer promptly.
• Listen to customer needs and ask follow-up questions.
• Ensure customers have an extraordinary shopping experience.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers.

Requirements

• Previous experience with Inventory Control procedures preferred.
• Prior knowledge and experience with firearms preferred.
• Understanding of ATF laws and regulations.
• Able to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Able to think quickly on the spot to answer customer questions.
• Able to take initiative and possess brand knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store as needed.
• Must possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and team members.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• 12 months of retail experience preferred.
