About the position

The Customer Experience Team Leader at Brookshire Grocery Company is responsible for overseeing front-end operations and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role involves training and developing staff, addressing customer concerns, and maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards. The Team Leader works closely with upper management to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support upper management in leading front-end operations and staff.
  • Train and develop partners, plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Address customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
  • Provide exemplary customer service and act as a role model for partners.
  • Ensure accuracy of front-end procedures and compliance measures.
  • Support training of front-end staff on customer service policies and cash handling procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance through observation and testing.
  • Open and close the store as required.
  • Maintain a presentable store environment and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Follow shrink management guidelines and implement controls.
  • Adhere to company safety procedures and food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age required.
  • High school Diploma or GED and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification required.
  • TABC/LACT certification required where applicable.
  • Manager Food Safety certification required.
  • AML certification required.
  • Fuel Operator C Training required where applicable.
  • Intermediate knowledge of store operations and checkout policies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic knowledge of SAP for reporting purposes.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Detail-oriented and able to learn new processes.
