About the position

The position supports upper management in leading front-end operations and staff to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction. The role involves addressing issues through effective communication, ensuring compliance with company policies, and training front-end partners to provide excellent customer service. The individual will work closely with management to maintain adequate staffing, a clean store environment, and efficient checkout services.

Responsibilities

  • Train and develop front-end partners in conjunction with upper management.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work while addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Provide friendly, customer service-oriented interactions by greeting customers and responding to inquiries.
  • Ensure accuracy of front-end procedures and compliance with all measures.
  • Support training of front-end staff on customer service policies, cash handling, and product codes.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance through observation and testing.
  • Open and close the store as required, ensuring a presentable shopping environment.
  • Manage safety, responsiveness, and fiscal management of cash and assets.
  • Implement proper controls for shrink management and identify risks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age required.
  • High school diploma or GED and two or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification required.
  • TABC/LACT certification required where applicable.
  • Manager Food Safety certification required.
  • AML certification required.
  • Fuel Operator C Training required where applicable.
  • Intermediate knowledge of store operations and checkout policies.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP for reporting purposes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners.
