As a Customer Facing Supply Chain Lead, you will play a pivotal role within the Vet Supply Chain Team, focusing on enhancing services, driving growth, and empowering teams to leverage service as a competitive advantage for the Vet business. Your primary responsibilities will include forecasting and anticipating the needs of assigned customers, driving alignment across the Vet Supply Network to optimize service and growth, and ensuring optimal inventory levels for the assigned customer group. This position requires proactive collaboration with various stakeholders, including customers, their supply chain teams, Purina's Demand & Supply Planning, Logistics, Transportation, ORM, and the Vet Sales & Marketing team. You will be instrumental in initiatives aimed at optimizing service and productivity across the total value chain. Your analytical and collaborative skills will be essential as you work to understand customer needs and total Vet volume forecasts, while also monitoring key supply chain performance indicators such as on-time delivery, in-stock rates, fill rates, and load integrity. The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey insights derived from data and influence cross-functional teams to achieve business results. You will also partner with supply chain leadership on departmental projects aimed at enhancing the capabilities and capacity of the Vet Supply Network. In this role, you will lead Vet Supply Chain priorities in collaboration with Vet Sales to drive profitable growth with assigned customer groups, including major retailers like Chewy, Amazon, Petsmart, and Petco. You will consolidate overall Vet demand signals to provide recommendations on total demand forecasts for Vet Prescription Diets and Supplements. Additionally, you will work closely with external customer counterparts to identify mutually beneficial improvements within the supply chain model, plan and implement optimization projects, and ensure internal alignment and execution in achieving key Vet supply chain metrics such as case-fill rates, on-time delivery, and cost-to-serve.
