About the position

The Customer Implementation Project Manager plays a crucial role in managing customer orders post-signing, ensuring that solutions outlined in sales orders are effectively implemented. This position is integral to the Cloud and Data Protection CI team, focusing on order management for medium to large-sized Cloud customers. The role requires collaboration with various teams, including sales, provisioning, and implementation engineering, to deliver scalable and efficient results while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Understand project requirements and scope to ensure alignment on deliverables and set appropriate expectations with project stakeholders and team.
  • Call out when changes to the scope and timeline occur and manage these changes appropriately.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans or milestone lists to establish timelines and drive projects toward completion.
  • Lead and motivate the project team, assigning tasks and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Engage with stakeholders, manage expectations, and communicate project progress and outcomes effectively.
  • Proactively identify and address project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to avoid or minimize potential issues.
  • Address project issues and conflicts promptly, seeking resolutions to keep the project on track.
  • Provide regular project status reports and updates to customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Prioritize tasks and facilitate effective time management within the project team, ensuring alignment in responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Continuously monitor the order progress against the schedule, identifying potential delays and taking corrective actions.
  • Facilitate vendor alignment and maintain multiple relationships with cross-functional Flexential groups to ensure successful completion of deliverables.
  • Resolve conflicts within the team and among stakeholders while employing effective negotiation skills to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced experience in Office 365 and Smartsheet or other project management tools.
  • Experience and understanding of the project lifecycle, including project scoping, planning, and implementation.
  • Ability to strive above and beyond to maintain ownership and meet objectives throughout the implementation.
  • Highly motivated problem solver with the ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Strong customer-facing etiquette and communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and capacity to follow procedures.
  • Calm under pressure and able to handle a fast-paced working environment.
  • Willingness to adapt and accept change on an ongoing basis.
  • Self-motivator, confident, inquisitive, own the outcome mentality.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL, and/or CSM (Certified Scrum Master) Certification
  • Experience working in a consulting role
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud, colocation, networking, and managed services
  • Experience using ServiceNow
