About the position

The Customer Insights Analyst plays a crucial role in the Performance Marketing Department at Helzberg Diamonds, focusing on customer targeting and analytics. This position is responsible for providing insights that enhance the effectiveness of marketing activities aimed at increasing customer acquisition and retention. The analyst will set up tests, analyze results, and communicate findings to leadership to drive strategic changes.

Responsibilities

• Create reporting that measures effectiveness of each marketing channel with weekly, monthly and yearly trends.
• Build reporting tools that show growth trends on acquisition and retention including deep dives into customer segments, product groups, and store concept.
• Increase the ROI of marketing by identifying campaigns and channels that are performing well as well as those that are not meeting goals and KPI thresholds.
• Partner with internal and external team members to execute statistically significant tests and report on results with strategic recommendations.
• Develop and run ad hoc queries and reports to answer specific marketing and customer data questions.
• Work with external vendors to ensure data is clearly defined and executed effectively for each marketing tactic.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, statistics, mathematics or other related degree.
• Two or more years of experience providing business analyses.
• SQL skills preferred.
• Strong statistical, mathematical, conceptual, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good business writing & presentation skills - ability to document and summarize statistical findings in an understandable and actionable way.
• A passion for digging into information and understanding patterns.
