About the position

The Customer Logistics Manager at Ryder System is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations within a dedicated transportation function. This role involves managing operations and account management, leading direct reports, and ensuring the attainment of daily operational goals. The position requires a strong focus on customer service satisfaction, compliance with regulations, and effective staffing performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations within the assigned function.
  • Manage operations and account management.
  • Lead and develop direct reports, both exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and expectation management.
  • Plan and schedule daily operations effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Manage health and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related field required.
  • One or more years of direct supervisory or leadership experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required.
  • Advanced knowledge of logistics industry and regulations required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of supply chain management components required.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production required.
