About the position

The Customer Manager Sr is responsible for managing the business of assigned principals within designated customer accounts. The primary focus of this role is to increase sales and market share for the brands represented while ensuring profitability for both the manufacturers and Acosta. This position requires strategic planning, effective communication, and collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver principals' objectives including volume and sales fundamentals at assigned customers.
  • Develop a Customer Business Plan to meet principals' business priorities.
  • Engage with decision-makers at customer accounts to sell business plans and programs.
  • Achieve results at the lowest selling cost while maximizing company revenue.
  • Oversee manufacturers' expenditures at customer accounts.
  • Ensure a competitively superior in-store presence in assigned stores.
  • Manage trade marketing funds and process direct shipments.
  • Communicate proactively with key principals and collaborate with Retail Sales Managers on initiatives.
  • Utilize knowledge of customer and market to accomplish objectives.
  • Provide timely information on selling priorities to relevant stakeholders.
  • Share information with team members to build organizational capacity.
  • Utilize technology to achieve Customer Business Plan objectives.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on improving business operations.
  • Demonstrate strategic planning to maintain and grow principals' business.
  • Exhibit business development skills to increase business opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer-specific issues.
  • Complete special projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts Degree.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in retail (CPG industry), marketing, space management, and/or resets.
  • Sales administration or finance experience preferred.
  • Expertise in Microsoft software: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Thorough knowledge of web-based applications.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
