About the position

The Customer Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the customer onboarding process and maintaining high-quality data standards within the company's systems. This position is responsible for ensuring that customer data is complete and accurate, which is essential for the success of customer engagements. The role requires advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and ZoomInfo, and involves facilitating a seamless transition for customers during onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the customer onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition and exceptional customer experience.
  • Clean up existing customer data in EPICOR/Kinetic and Salesforce.com, including Terms, Credit Limits, Corporate ID, and Market Segments.
  • Add new customer records to the systems as they are onboarded.
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of customer data, driving the success of customer engagements from the start.
  • Use ZoomInfo to add additional data elements to customer profiles, including contacts and site-specific information.
  • Assign new and existing customers to Thomas Sales Representatives in Salesforce.com.
  • Manage the Lead queue in Salesforce.com, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate lead distribution.
  • Maintain and support data integrity in Salesforce.com, ensuring all customer information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Track and support the entire customer journey, ensuring all customer touchpoints and milestones are documented and addressed.
  • Handle account moves and transitions, ensuring customers experience minimal disruption and continue receiving high-quality service.
  • Assist the VP of Sales Administration in training new Sales Representatives and Customer Service Representatives.
  • Provide backup support for daily, weekly, and monthly reports generated by the Sales Administration office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales administration, customer onboarding, or data management.
  • Proficiency in EPICOR/Kinetic and Salesforce.com is required.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and ZoomInfo are a must.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in training and onboarding new hires is advantageous.
