About the position

The Customer Practice Manager (CPM) for Telecommunications at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for leading customer programs that drive business outcomes for Telco and Broadband clients. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor, promoting transformational professional services, and ensuring delivery excellence across assigned accounts. The CPM will engage in business development, deal structuring, and support, while also fostering executive relationships and aligning with AWS account teams to achieve strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business outcomes by articulating accelerated customer outcomes through cloud technologies.
  • Execute long-term strategic customer transformation roadmaps with a focus on delivering results in Professional Services and Platform bookings.
  • Develop a unified account plan and pursuit plan that aligns with the AWS account team.
  • Establish executive relationships across technology and business groups, providing executive sponsorship for programs.
  • Build an internal network at AWS with critical organizations such as account teams, partner teams, and global services.
  • Assume the role of strategic advisor with deep knowledge of the customers' business and available cloud services.
  • Deliver on annual bookings and revenue targets with deal structures aligned with customer goals and AWS objectives.
  • Support scale through shared learnings and mechanisms across the Professional Services sales team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of management consulting and IT experience with knowledge of business, product, and digital transformation.
  • 5+ years of experience selling consulting/professional services to Telco and Broadband customers, achieving annual bookings and recurring revenue.
  • Business development experience with multi-year, multiple service offerings totaling over $10M in agreements, familiar with compliance and security standards.
  • Experience with CRM systems to maintain a clear view of pursuits, progress, and pipeline conversion.
  • Ability to assess customer marketplace circumstances and initiate strategic transformation conversations at the C-Level.

Nice-to-haves

  • BA/BS degree with vertical industry sales and delivery experience of cloud services and solutions.
  • Experience designing modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services.
  • International consulting or professional services sales experience with global Fortune 500 enterprise customers.
  • Understanding of cloud computing and data transition challenges.
