The Customer Project/Program Manager II at Cox Communications is responsible for overseeing the direction, coordination, execution, control, and completion of project management functions associated with all Large, Complex Fiber Projects, On/Off, Combination Fiber projects, and Complex Type II for designated Carrier Enterprise Cox Business customers. This role involves a comprehensive scope of work review, risk assessment and management, project planning, estimating, tracking, reporting, and overall management of projects. The Project Manager will facilitate communication across various operational groups and ensure compliance with defined processes and implementation standards. This position is part of the Carrier ONE Fulfillment Team and may involve responsibilities for both Wireless and Wireline Projects. In this role, the Project Manager will manage Large, Complex Fiber Projects, On/Off, Combination Fiber projects, and Complex Type II projects for designated Retail, Carrier, or Enterprise clients in support of Cox Business customers. The Project Manager will plan the sequencing of projects and direct employees, vendors, and third parties to accomplish projects within agreed-upon timeframes. They will set and manage customer expectations while proactively identifying and mitigating project risks to ensure successful project delivery. The Project Manager will also be responsible for managing projects to ensure profitability, preparing cost analyses to maximize return on investment, and completing margin analyses on specific projects or unanticipated changes. Additionally, the Project Manager will service the company's business operations by negotiating installation, platform, and production solutions on behalf of the company to ensure project serviceability. They will regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment to make key decisions such as vendor selection, guidance on equipment selection to meet customer needs, expediting the scheduling of high-profile projects, and determining labor requirements for staffing projects. The role also includes providing project management for the Cox Business service delivery process, coordinating with construction teams to build new sites, determining the need for site surveys, and ensuring proper permitting and government approvals are obtained for projects. The Project Manager will analyze communications and requests from clients, support departments, and subcontractors to determine necessary actions and will keep the management team and stakeholders updated on project status. They will manage long-range logistics and planning for multiple customer projects, obtain feedback at critical milestones, and coordinate with vendors and points of contact for building access and installation dates. The Project Manager will work closely with functional business divisions, vendors, and customers to define project priorities, approaches, resource requirements, and timing of deliverables, all while managing multiple projects concurrently.
