About the position

The Customer Quality Manager at ABB is responsible for leading the quality strategy within a local organizational unit, focusing on achieving and exceeding customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. This role involves driving the local quality system through prevention, continuous improvement, and effective root cause analysis, while coordinating efforts across local functions to meet quality targets and certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and lead the quality strategy for the local organizational unit.
• Drive the local quality system through prevention, continuous improvement, and robust root cause analysis.
• Coordinate efforts of local functions impacting quality results to achieve targets.
• Influence and consult with management to improve overall performance in the functional area.
• Ensure appropriate internal and external communication relevant to the quality management system.
• Represent the Voice of the Customer within local teams.
• Manage a team of Engineers and Technicians addressing customer quality issues.
• Establish a closed-loop quality cycle from product development to customer feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous experience in Electrical product manufacturing or quality laboratory.
• Ability to perform UL and other functional tests on MCCB and ACB family products preferred.
• Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, 8D reports, or PPAP principles.
• At least 3 years' experience in a quality department or equivalent preferred.
• Green belt (lean six sigma) certification preferred.
