About the position
The Customer Relations Outfitter is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment. This part-time role involves greeting customers, handling merchandise returns, selling licenses, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The position requires a commitment to customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Secure all firearms brought into the store with trigger locks.
- Check in all Vendor representatives and complete necessary visitor log information.
- Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service.
- Handle customer merchandise returns and complete refund/exchange paperwork.
- Sort returns by category and return to the proper area.
- Sell appropriate Hunting and Fishing Licenses.
- Administer all incentive and reward programs.
- Remain product knowledgeable and aware of advertised sales.
- Keep work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
- Provide assistance to customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system.
