About the position

The Customer Service & A/R Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining customer service and accounts receivable duties in accordance with company policies. This role involves working independently and collaboratively with the Sales Administration Manager and Customer Service Representative to ensure timely completion of essential responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reaching company's goals and objectives by working independently and with co-workers.
• Handle filing, mailing, and FedEx tracking.
• Answer phone calls and provide customer support.
• Deposit incoming checks into the bank.
• Apply customer payments into the ERP system.
• Contact customers regarding past due payments and monitor credit holds.
• Research customer discrepancies and collaborate on collection efforts with the Controller.
• Assist with order processing, including entering orders and creating invoices.
• Enter invoices into customer portals.
• Provide backup support to Sales Administration Manager, Customer Service Rep, and Inventory Consignment Specialist as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma; some college or specialized training is desirable.
• Three plus years' experience in customer service and accounts receivable positions.
• Typing speed of 45-60 wpm.
• Energetic and organized with multi-tasking abilities.
• Computer literate, particularly with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access a plus) and accounting software packages.
• Strong work ethic and excellent people skills.
• Ability to function autonomously and manage activities within own department.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to make decisions independently and logically support recommendations and decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintain satisfactory attendance.
