About the position

As a Customer Service Administrator 2, you will play a vital role in supporting the operational functions of the Service Center through intermediate level clerical duties. This position involves a variety of tasks related to customer service, appointments, dispatch support, payroll, and human resources, ensuring efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate level clerical duties to assist in the operational function of the Service Center.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipments, billing questions, and other service-related issues.
  • Research and answer requests for information from internal customers or other Service Centers.
  • Schedule delivery appointments and assist drivers with pick-up or delivery problems.
  • Calculate hours worked and Linehaul miles, and compile driver hours of service.
  • Complete driver log summaries and assist with generating manifests and closing loads.
  • Enter closed, dispatched, and arrived loads into the computer system.
  • Provide clerical support to Service Center Account Managers and Executives.
  • Make follow-up calls to customers as requested and maintain the sales appointment schedule.
  • Key pay data into the payroll system and assist with recruiting efforts for the Service Center.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and assist with training efforts by scheduling classes or ordering supplies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to satisfactorily pass a background check and alcohol and drug test.
  • 6 months of related experience and/or previous office experience.
  • Strong customer relations skills to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with interruptions.
  • Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with Customer Service.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems.
