About the position

Piedmont Airlines is seeking a motivated and reliable Customer Service Agent to join our Ground Handling Department. This role is essential in providing industry-leading service to our customers and airline partners by assisting passengers during boarding and disembarking, operating the Jetway, and guiding aircraft. The successful candidate will undergo training and must be able to work in various weather conditions while lifting heavy objects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights
  • Monitor computerized passenger boarding
  • Assist customers with special needs, including arranging for wheelchairs and unaccompanied minors
  • Change customer flight itinerary and seat assignments as required
  • Operate the Jetway
  • Load and unload baggage and cargo
  • Operate motorized service vehicles and equipment
  • Guide and park aircraft
  • Perform cabin maintenance tasks
  • Work together as a team to provide excellent customer service and meet corporate objectives

Requirements

  • Successful completion of training course
  • Ability to meet company goals and customer expectations in a high energy environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous airline experience
  • Previous employment as a front-line customer service provider
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
