About the position

Edible Arrangements is looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing team member to join their Ocean, NJ location. The role involves providing excellent customer service while assisting guests in selecting the perfect edible gifts. The position includes both production tasks, such as preparing fresh fruit arrangements, and customer-facing responsibilities, ensuring a delightful experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

• Taking orders over the phone and assisting guests in finding suitable arrangements.
• Ensuring all fruit is prepared fresh and follows proper food safety procedures.
• Maintaining an organized and efficient flow of production.
• Arranging orders according to Edible Arrangements methods and procedures.
• Receiving and properly storing supply deliveries.
• Keeping work stations and equipment clean and tidy.
• Maintaining the storefront and ensuring items are in stock for walk-in purchases.
• Working around sharp blades and knives safely.
• Planning and prioritizing workload to meet production schedules.
• Managing difficult guest situations in a calm and professional manner.
• Using proper cash handling and register procedures.

Requirements

• Must have weekend and holiday availability.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong ability to work in a team.
• Detail and outcome oriented.
• Positive attitude.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle fast-paced environments.
• Computer skills and POS system experience.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
• Ability to read orders and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or push objects weighing up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and scoop throughout assigned shift.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
