About the position
The Customer Service Assistant (Funeral) role involves providing essential support to Family Service Directors during funeral services. The position focuses on ensuring a compassionate and respectful environment for grieving families, assisting with various tasks before, during, and after services, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of service areas.
Responsibilities
- Greet arriving families and attend to their needs during the service.
- Maintain the service environment by setting up services and supplies.
- Place signage to direct families appropriately.
- Ensure cleanliness in gathering areas and other family-facing spaces.
- Assist with other tasks as directed by the Family Service Director.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience, including direct contact with the public.
- Valid California Driver's License and proof of insurance.
- Knowledge of modern office methods and technologies.
- Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to view deceased persons comfortably.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
