About the position

The Customer Service Assistant at Munich Re America plays a crucial role in the Service Delivery team, responsible for processing new business, renewals, and policy transactions accurately and efficiently. This position supports the department by developing reporting requirements and providing training on data entry and policy issuance, ensuring high service levels for clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Process new business, renewals, and all policy transactions through the company's financial system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide policy processing support for all transactions for the branches and external clients.
  • Process cancellation, nonrenewal, and conditional renewal requests.
  • Manually process failed interfaced transactions as required.
  • Evaluate premium discrepancies and resolve them.
  • Participate in developing business requirements, user testing, and troubleshooting regarding data capturing requirements.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of operational reports as requested.
  • Assist and train other Customer Service Assistants as needed.
  • Assist in projects as requested.

Requirements

  • 3 years or more experience working in insurance operations or policy administration, or a recent bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Tech-savviness and a willingness to experiment with and learn new technologies.
  • Ability to think strategically and function tactically under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Excellent consultative skills, including creativity, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Keyboard skills.
