About the position

The Customer Service Associate in Aerospace Manufacturing is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the customer service function, which includes quoting, order entry, expediting, and general customer service tasks. This role involves direct communication with customers, processing orders, and ensuring accuracy in documentation while collaborating with various departments within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with answering phones and directing calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Use standard office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and printers.
  • Download and print customer Purchase Orders (PO) from customer portals and email as requested.
  • Review POs for accuracy and enter orders in the ERP system if acceptable.
  • Resolve discrepancies with customers regarding POs that do not meet company requirements.
  • Follow up with customers until revised POs are received.
  • Assist with PO acknowledgments in customer portals and through email.
  • Communicate production recommits to customers via phone, email, and online portals.
  • Respond timely to customer requests and track open quote requests to ensure completion.
  • Download RFQs and drawings from customer portals as requested.
  • Review customer monthly scorecards for accuracy and dispute inaccuracies until resolved.
  • Participate in annual HR training as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of customer service and phone experience, preferably in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of aerospace customer portals preferred.
  • Previous administrative experience required.
  • Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of drawing revision control and basics of ISO9001/AS9100 Standards.

  • Experience in a manufacturing company in the Aerospace industry.
