About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude will contribute to a welcoming shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
• Provide product demonstrations and assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
• Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to effectively sell and upsell items.
• Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure a neat and appealing store layout.
• Communicate with customers regarding their inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, addressing customer questions or concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow in the store.

Requirements

• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing change.
• Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is a plus.
• Ability to demonstrate products and engage customers in conversation about their needs.
• Familiarity with stock management practices is beneficial.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
