About the position

The Customer Service Associate / Cashier role is focused on providing excellent customer service while handling transactions at the checkout. This position involves managing payments, ensuring the accuracy of cash in the till, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. The associate will also engage with customers, answer their questions, and assist with additional store tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle payments (cash, debit, credit cards)
• Ensure there is enough cash in the till before shift (as well as the correct amount)
• Give back correct change and receipts
• Bag items
• Make cross sells, sell new products
• Answer any questions customers may have
• Maintain a record of transactions
• Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
• Return unbought items to shelves
• Help out around the store (ie. stocking shelves, price checks, cleanup etc)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (Preferred)
• 1 year of customer service experience (Preferred)
• Ability to relocate to Utica, MI 48317 before starting work (Required)
