About the position

The Customer Service Associate (CSA) at Royal Farms plays a crucial role in supporting the store leadership team by completing various store-level tasks. This position focuses on providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a friendly environment, and facilitating a smooth shopping experience for customers during the overnight shift. The CSA is responsible for operating the cash register, assisting with self-service machines, and maintaining store standards while adhering to safety and operational policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure every customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment and maintaining high standards.
• Respond to customer requests in a timely manner, including answering questions about merchandise.
• Communicate with the leadership team regarding customer requests and vendor-related concerns.
• Operate the cash register, scan items, bag merchandise, and handle different payment methods.
• Assist customers with the Self-Checkout system and monitor transactions to prevent theft.
• Comply with laws by checking identification for restricted product purchases.
• Prepare made-to-order food and beverages according to specifications.
• Replenish products and supplies to ensure the store is stocked.
• Check expiration codes and manage inventory by discarding expired items.
• Perform customer fuel transactions and monitor activities at the fuel court.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and report unsafe conditions.
• Complete assigned side work and other tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Organizational and decision-making skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to accept authority and work as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for up to eight hours per day.
