About the position

The Customer Service Associate role is a temporary position focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences in a retail environment. The associate will engage with customers, assist with product inquiries, and ensure efficient checkout service while adhering to company policies and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
  • Register customer purchases on the cash register and handle cash transactions.
  • Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, and maintain inventory records.
  • Implement asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Construct and maintain promotional displays and complete resets as directed.
  • Assist with food item separation and stock rotation using FIFO method.
  • Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services.
  • Monitor and fill web pick-up orders for customers.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly store appearance.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
