About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences by providing friendly and efficient service. This temporary position involves engaging with customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store operations to ensure a pleasant shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous and efficient checkout service.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Models and shares customer service best practices with team members.
  • Provides customers with friendly, fast, and efficient service.
  • Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items to customers.
  • Processes customer purchases, collects cash, and distributes change as requested.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and maintains records.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Constructs and maintains displays for promotional and seasonal merchandise.
  • Assists with food item separation and product placement as per policies.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services.
  • Monitors web pick-up orders and delivers them to customers as they arrive.
  • Assists with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly appearance.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
