About the position

The Customer Service Associate role at Walgreens is a temporary position focused on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The associate will engage with customers, handle transactions, and maintain store operations while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides efficient checkout service.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Shares customer service best practices with team members.
  • Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items to customers.
  • Processes transactions including voids, returns, and exchanges as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and merchandise.
  • Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area and assists with web pick-up responsibilities.
  • Ensures a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
